The first quarter of 2024 saw diverse performance trends among the top five cryptocurrency apps on iOS in Romania. Here’s a closer look at how each app fared in terms of weekly downloads and active users, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 1.1K in early January and peaking at approximately 2.4K in early March. Active users also saw an upward trend, growing from around 15.3K in the first week of January to about 18.9K by mid-March.

Crypto.com - Buy Bitcoin, ETH had a significant spike in downloads, particularly in the week of February 26, reaching approximately 4.5K downloads. Active users mirrored this growth, starting at around 13.3K and peaking at 22.4K in early March.

Bybit: Buy & Trade Crypto maintained a steadier performance. Weekly downloads ranged from around 300 to 685, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter. Active users showed a gradual rise from about 1.9K in early January to approximately 2.4K by the end of March.

Coinbase: Buy Bitcoin & Ether saw moderate growth in downloads, starting at 370 in the first week of January and peaking at 590 in early March. Active users displayed a similar trend, increasing from around 1.2K to approximately 1.8K over the quarter.

MetaMask - Blockchain Wallet had a consistent download pattern, with slight increases towards the end of the quarter, peaking at around 566 downloads in early March. Active users fluctuated but generally trended upward, starting at about 5.7K and reaching around 6.2K in early March before a slight decline towards the end of the quarter.
